Wowwee toys is the company that brought the super successful paper jams to market in 2010 and they’ve released several other cool toys in the last few years. They have set their sights on the laser tag market and made laser tag far more interactive and almost like a video game in the real world.

Wowwee has made “smart laser tag guns” that let players divide in up to four different teams with unlimited players and the guns can keep track of whose on whose team.  Wowwee has added virtual ammo to each gun, that’s right, you only have so many laser bullets before you run out.  Once you run out of ammo you’ll need to touch the bottom of the clip as if you’re adding a new clip of ammo and you’re back in action.

Also each gun has a built in health bar and when you run out of health your gun is disabled temporarily for a preset amount of time before you can get back in the action.  This will be great for those chronic cheaters ;)

Built into each gun is a target with lights and sound effects when you get shot just like a video game.

On each gun there is a “fingerprint identification” spot on the side…however it looks like it is just for show and adds a cool game like effect.

Also each gun has lights all over and when you fire or get shot and you can change your colors on your gun to whatever you want. You can also change the rate of fire on each gun as well as the weapon blast.

There are built in sound effects when shooting and when you get shot on every gun.
